Click on any of the images to see them larger! Five of these pieces of photography were done in a street photography class I took through the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. These photographs pushed me to think more about composition and portrait work. The photo with the two figures posing was one I had taken of my friends. I liked the complimentary colors of the clothing and background, I feel it makes the image more interesting.

Artwork

These are some of my artworks that are done in different mediums. I like to experiment and work with new materials when I create. From left to right, the first piece is a rug I made with a punch needle. The overall size is around 4 feet by 6 feet. It was made for my grandma as her handwriting is included in the rug. The next piece was a technical study done of a piece of paper. The completed work is 18 by 24 inches and made with charcoal. The last piece was made out of cut pieces of paper, I tried to have each section be one piece rather than several small pieces of paper pasted together. The purpose was to better understand shapes and how they alone can create a cohesive composition.
